Question
i have a 6 week old springer spaniel puppy and i am not sure what i can feed it. what can i feed it

Answer
You should be feeding your puppy whatever his breeder told you to feed him as you don't want to change his diet and upset his digestive system. He can gradually be switched over to a different, or better, diet in a few weeks, if you choose. I highly recommend Eagle, Canidae, Wellness, Solid Gold, or Flint River Ranch. The first ingredient should be a meat, or preferably a meat meal, and the food should have NO by-products. If your breeder neglected to tell you what to feed your new puppy, call him/her up and ask what your puppy was being fed.

Also be sure to get your puppy into your vet ASAP for a health exam to be sure he doesn't have any problems; take in a stool sample at the same time so that it can be checked for parasites. Since your puppy's breeder sold the puppies at least two weeks too early, there may have been other things that were neglected being done.
