Question
My dog is going to be spayed next month, but as we had  a foreign vet, I
couldnt understand her that well.  Could you tell me if there possibly could
be complications with the anesthetic please, and if so what?? I asked the vet,
and I couldnt understand her that well! My dog means the world to me, and I
dont want anything to happen, to her!  I nearly lost one dog, when she was
operated on, when she was just 12 weeks old (spayed), the vets said it was
ok!  Since then we are going else where, but it seems we've gone to a place,
were we can only get the foreign vet! I dont want to say, could we have a
person who speaks proper English, because I dont want to offend .  Sorry if I
asked the wrong person, im just worried!

Answer
It is bad enough we have to put up with that, and now our dogs.

Anesthetizing a dog is never completely safe.  The newer anesthetics are safer, but take the dog longer to recover from.  Fortunately problems are very rare.  I wouldn't worry about a problem this time.
