Question
I have a seven month old female Yorkie puppy. she just got threw her first menstrual cycle around 3 days ago and I also own a male Yorkie. The thing is she has been vomiting uncontrollably, and anything I give her to eat or drink she throws it back up. what should I do?

Answer
Aleyda-

Was she bred? Vomiting after breeding is fairly common.

Ideally, if she is vomitting uncontrollably and unable to drink, she needs to get to the vet immediatly before she dies of dehydration, or low blood sugar. If you can't get her to the vet, you can do the following for a short time:

Offer her some cool, decaf pepermint tea, with maybe a little ground ginger in it. This will settle her stomach, and hopefully you can get her to drink some water. Offer her 3-4CCs of tea every half hour until she stops vomitting, then get some water and pedalyte into her ASAP. She still needs to see the vet, but this will hold you over until monday.

I hope she feels better?
