Question
I have an eleven week old rott/chow mix, I've read several mags and understand the importance of crate training. The problem is I work eleven sometimes twelve hours a day, there's noway I can leave her in a crate for that long and expect her to hold "it" right? Plus she would have to go all day w/o eating. There's really noone able to help me with her throughout the day. I'm also worried about leaving her alone for that long everyday. I think maybe I should get another pup so they can grow up together and they will have each other while I'm at work. Please help. Thank you!

Answer
Ok first things first. Do NOT get another pup. Your dog will not care if a playmate is there..she only cares about you. You will be creating triple the problems. You will not know which dog is having accidents, etc. this will be too hard. You really should have waited til you had someone to help since this will be difficult. Here is what i CAN tell you. I have a 14 week old puppy myself and she is in the crate from 630 am to 430 om and is doing well. She has not had an accident for a few days now. As far as the eating, You are not supposed to let your puo eat all day anyway, You should let her eat first thing in the morning before you have to leave. This way you can let her potty before you leave for the day. And then she can eat when you come home. Any further questions..let me know
