Jumping

Question
I just got an American Bulldog Mix.  He is a wonderful dog without a mean bone in his body.  Because he is so loving he constantly wants to lick and to do this he is constantly jumping in the air to lick you face.  I have tried putting my knee up and correction collars but it doesn't seem to work.  Any suggestions?

Also, how can i cut his nails :)  he won't sit still.  i got one paw but cut to close and he flinched and won't let me near him when i have the clippers.  i tried hiding them till i can get near him and also treats but the little booger butt won't let me.

Both of your issues begin with time...and constant working with your issues.
The first one, you should go to a class...and if you go to a Petsmart.
You probably can find a grooming department there, and they should help you trim the nails for very little cost! Sometimes takes more than one person with a timid dog...and a strong one at that.
