Question
Hi there, I have a three year old, 3.8lbs teacup poodle and she is constantly
itching her skin and ears. I've taken her to the vet several times but nothings
helped,  I give her sold gold food which is all organic, also give her filtered
water....I clean her ears every week, they're always dirty and smelly. She still
continues to itch & cry and she's had shots for ear mites. Her skin is dry and
she's always scratching it. I'm not sure what to do and would love some
advice!! Thank you

Answer
It sounds like your poodle has allergies, and possible ear mites and/or a yeast infection. If your vet is not helping your dog, then it is time for a new vet. My first choice would be a veterinary dermatologist, and my second choice would be a holistic vet.

You should have allergy tests run on your dog to determine what she is allergic to. Not all allergies are food allergies, and "organic" simply means no pesticides or food additives. If these are from food allergies, however, the #1 issue is usually proteins, and then wheat.
