Question
I have a 7 month old dog and ever since we got her she has been a nervous piddler.  I can take her out and she will pee but then as soon as she comes in the house she will pee again or if someone shows her attention ( petting, sweet talk) she squats and pees.  I have been really patient but now my house is starting to smell like pee.  I go to family's houses and usually I would take my pet but with her I have to leave her at home in her crate cause I don't want her to pee at their house.  I don't know what else to do and my boyfriend wants to get rid of her but I have become attached, please help..

Answer
Jennifer, generally, submissive urination will stop on its own as long as you do not fuss at the dog for doing it. What you need to be practicing is letting HER approach YOU (or whoever) for attention and petting, and you need to get down on >>her<< level to do so, rather than bending over top of her, which is a very dominant position.

One thing you might consider, to help save your floors, is letting her wear a doggie diaper.
