freinds dog

this is a 15 year old rottweiler and its obvious that the dog is lame do to hips and is in alot of pain but she will not have the dog put down she only had the dog 4 months it was my dog for the rest of its life unfortunetly i had to move so she kept the dog now i see the dog in this pain and it tears me apart what should i do?

Hi Kimmie,

Pain can be controlled. If the dog's current owner won't take the dog to the vet to get appropriate pain medication, offer to pay for it.

With the correct pain medication, there would probably be a dramatic improvement in the dog's quality of life.
