red irritated on private area

Question
I asked a question last night about my Chihuahua.  This morning she doesn't want to go to the bathroom and I can see that it almost looks like a cut on it.  Should I still try a teabag or just wait until I can get her to the vet?  Can I give her a pain reliever?  Is it okay if she doesn't go to the bathroom.  I can't get her in until this afternoon because I have an appointment first thing this morning.  Any additional suggestions would be great.  Thanks.

If her skin is broken, don't apply an astringent such as the Witch Hazel or the tea bag, it may sting. It could help to cut your dog's hair around where the cut is, the air will help it to heal.

Keep the area clean. Wash it with mild soap and water twice a day, and gently dry the area. If your dog allows it, a hair blower set on low, and warm is a good way to dry without rubbing (which can irritate).  Apply an antibiotic first aid cream, such as Neosporin or Betadine. It will help with the pain.
