tail cropping

Is the 8-12 weeks stander on any bread of dog?  I had someone tell me that is needs to be done with in the first 3 days and I thought that was a little earl?

Tail cropping is usually done with in the first 3 days as the nerves have not yet fully developed. Tail cropping done after this is a more involved and costly procedure.

Many people think that tail cropping is an outdated procedure and in many European countries it is outlawed as inhumane and unneccesary. The only reason for the procedure in Germany, for instance, is for a medical issue.
