Question
I have two female Italian Greyhounds, problem is one (Taylor) who is spaid and laid back is a bit chubby.  The other (Kaycie) is no spaid yet and very nervious is skinny.  When I take them to the vet they say nothing about thier weight.  Both dogs are wormed and shots given.  I leave food in front of them all day, cause I want Kaycie to eat, they are really close and spend all of thier time together.  My question is what can I do to get my Kaycie to gain weight?  Thank you.

Answer
Hello, Italian grey hounds are supposed to be skinny dogs they are skin and bones. Here is a link of a website offering advice of the whole subject of dog and puppy feeding: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/feeding.htm

I am unsure how to get a dog to gain wait and unless a good quaility vet reccomends the dog needs a few pounds then I wouldnt worry too much about it, I can offer advice on having the other dog loose weight as grey hounds/whippets ad italion grey hounds are ment to be very thin sheek dogs not at all chubby.
