Question
Chloe is about 2 years old. We take her for a long walk on her leash and she will not do her business.  Then she comes in and pees on the carpet.  She does her bowel movements outside, but insists on peeing on the carpet once a day.  What should we do.

Usually this is a misunderstanding in the dog.  Keep her on leash when in the house and hook it to your belt.  This way she will be with you at all times and you can correct her with a "NO" and take her outside if she goes to squat.
This shouldn't take any longer than two weeks of constant work.  If you are not going to be home then crate her so she can't go to the bathroom.
