I rescued a 5 year old female in July.  She is wonderful, but she will bark and sometimes snap at strangers.  How do I get her to stop?  She will sniff their hand, then start barking and snapping at them.  She only does this to some, others she is fine with.  She has become my "baby", and is very close to me.  Is this a problem?

This a fairly common problem,esp with rescue dogs that have not been used to a lot of other people. Now the best way to fix this is to have people that want to see her to give her a tiny treat,even at first if it's only by tossing it to her. But if she will take if from someone's hand that's even better even at first she will not let someone touch her.It's best done at the pace the dog feels comfortable. If she is confident by having it tossed,then next time have her try and take it from someone's hand,then once she can do that,then see if she will accept a treat and a little touch at the same time
