my weim has started peeing in the house

I have a four year old weim and he has started to pee in the house.  home or not, i find puddles.  please advise on signs of him being sick or if he is just mad at us.  my husband just returned from overseas after being gone a long time, is he jealous?  please advise

Hello Liz. it is reallly difficult for me to know exactly what is going on with your dog without seeing him. It could be the fact that your husband is home, or it could be a medical problem. My guess, however, is that it is related to your husband. The only way to fix this is to start crating the dog and re-housebreak unfortunately. The fact that he goes when you are not home means you have to be able to keep him from doing it while you can not keep an eye on him. You could always get him checked at the vet, but my bet is that it is the change with your husband. I do not believe it will just stop and go away on its own. Remember to clean the urinated areas with half and half vinegar and water so the dog can not smell it..good luck
