Problem with Pitbull Whelping

Question
Our pitbull is having her first litter of puppies.  The first three came out fine, but now one has been stuck in the birth canal for about 3 hours.  We tried to pull it out, but it is stuck.  Should we just leave her alone and it will come out naturally or what do you suggest?

Hi Mary,
You need to get her to a Vet ASAP. You could not only lose the puppy that is stuck, but the rest of the unborn litter. If you wait too long, possibly the mother. Please take her in, if she hasn't birthed the put in three hours, she's not going to.
