our lab just ate an ABALONE!

My two year female lab just got to our ice chest with live red abalone from yesterday and pulled out and ate everything (meat and organs) except for the 8" shell!  She seems to be fine but do you know if there are any hazards to eating raw abalone?

Dogs are susceptible to food poisoning although less than we are.  There are those that insist dogs are healthier eating a raw diet.  I strenuously disagree with that. I would keep a good eye on her, calling the vet if she shows any digestive upset.  Even a large portion of a strange food can upset a dogs digestion.
