Will they ever get along?

Question
I have two jack russells, one female, one male.  The female I have
had since March, and the male I got in May.  They are both 5-yr.
old rescue dogs.  Although they have not have a lot of fights, they
have had a few fights.  Is it because one is trying to establish
dominence? Is this something that will stop over time?  I keep them
seperated during the day, and I don't want to get rid of either of
them, but I am afraid their fighting will get worse with time.

Hi,  They probably won't get along as they are 5 years old and set in their ways.  They are trying to establish dominance and who will be leader of the pack at your home.  Unfortunately at 5 yrs old, that could be a very bad fight as they both are too old to give in to each other.  I wish I could be of more help, but unfortunately nature works.
