Is Fresh Oranges and Fruits

I have a 3 year old Dachshund who is an indoor dog.  He loves fresh fruit oranges, peaches, bannannas, and apples.  Is it okay to feed him this in moderation?  I had heard that grapes were not good.  He also eats Beniful Original formula dog food.  1 cup a day. Just wanted to know!!

Absolutely no grapes or raisins! The others are fine **IN MODERATION**. You want to be careful that he doesn't put on any extra weight; this is particular important with dachshunds since they can be prone to back problems.

You could definitely find a better product to feed than Beneful. It is nothing more than grains and by-products, and contains menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of Vitamin K activity), something that the FDA won't allow in human products! http://www.dogfoodproject.com/index.php?page=menadione
