Question
QUESTION: she is constantly biting and itching herself vet said try kangaroo food that didnt work also used benedryl helps for a short time she also has ear infections she has some cream for that doesnt work that well is there any relief for her??

ANSWER: Allergies are not always caused by food. She needs to be tested to try to determine exactly what is setting her off so they can hopefully be eliminated from her life. It could be absolutely *anything*. Get a referral to a veterinary dermatologist and have her tested.

Trying bathing her several times a week and see if that doesn't help a bit, too.

QUESTION: has anyone with a lab asked about those symptoms before? so there isnt anything i can try besides going to another vet? what about a product called vetionx? or any other style like that

Answer
Lots of people ask about their allergic pets, but there is no easy solution to the problem. A dog can be allergic to something it comes into contact with, such as dust mites, molds, pollens, etc., or to something it eats, such as grains or proteins. There is just no way to determine the allergens without testing for them.

Vetionx seems to be a site selling various vitamins and minerals. How is that going to help with allergies? My husband is allergic to molds, dust mites, shrimp, and ragweed, but the vitamin/mineral supplement he takes does absolutely nothing for his allergy problems.

Determine the allergen(s), remove them from your dog's environment/diet, and her itching and ear infections will stop.
