cocker poo

4/9 I noticed my dogs penise is extended & doesn't retract.  It is 4/10 & it is still out.  Is this a problem.  He is a 2year old cocker poo it extends out about an inch

Hi Liz-

Hopefully you have contacted a vet if it is still out, or have gotten an answer from someone else, but if this happens again or if it is STILL out, yes, this is not normal, he most likely was "humping" the air and got a little stuck. If you notice it immediatly and put some warm water on your fingers you can very carefully pully the sheath back over his penis and it will be just fine. Do not touch his penis with dry hands. If it has been out a while he will need to see a vet, as the organ will become chaffed and dry, and swollen.
