My Husband was bit by the neighbors dog.  It was just one of those things, nothing the neighbor did or didn't do.  He says the dog had it's rabies shot. But we did not get proof of this. My husband went and got antibiotics.
We were told by many people that as long as the dog stayed well for ten days then even if it had rabies my husband was fine.
It has been several months and the dog still is living and fine.  So is there no risk of rabies?

 P.S. This dog is never outside with out a leash.

Both your husband and the neighbors dog are out of danger. Rabies normally shows up within a 2 week period. If the dog is fine, your husband is fine.

If you want to be 100% positive, you can contact your local health department for full details on rabies and rabies transmission.
