Hi Katlan,

Gangrene mastitis is an advanced stage of mastitis, so it's REALLY important to get your dog to a vet!  Clavamox an antibiotic that can be used in this treatment, you may have been treating your dog with the wrong medication, or using the wrong dose.  If your dog really has septicemia or gangrene, intensive care and treatment would be

To prevent the swelling from bursting you can use clean hot clothes that are soaked in vinegar and press it on the swollen area. This will restrain bursting of the swelling caused by the bacteria, in the breast. Then and there you can massage the breasts. This will alleviate the condition well. Drain the breasts often so that Mastitis is cured as fast as it can.

There is no substitute for a vet's care! If you are having trouble afford veterinary care, first talk to your regular vet. Ask your veterinarian if he or she will let you work out a payment plan. Many veterinarians are willing to work out a weekly or monthly payment plan so that you do not have to pay the entire cost of veterinary care up front. Another option is to contact local animal shelters or the Humane Society. Some shelters operate or know of local subsidized veterinary clinics or veterinary assistance programs. If you happen to live within driving distance to veterinary school, check with them to see if they offer discount services to the public. There are two special credit cards to apply for which help with medical bills (including veterinary bills) read about them here:
