Re; 3 yr old English springer spaniel

Out dog is a indoor dog...however, when he is outside without us and he wants back in he scratches our doors....any suggestions to break him of this habit.....Thanks

Well, Lori, you could put in a doggie door so he could let himself back in, or you could put a piece of sheet metal or wood or plexiglass (this would be the most attractive, as it's clear) or something on the bottom half of the door (or the area where he scratches) so that he cannot damage the door itself. Or, you could just not leave him out there alone.
