Question
QUESTION: Hi,i would like to know if im feeding my puppies.boil chicken and popcorn and lays potato chips,is it good for them? thank you in advance.

ANSWER: Hi Kesha,

Boiled chicken is going to be a popular addition to your puppy's diet, but it should be used as a healthy supplement to a good quality puppy food. Puppies have special nutritional needs because they are growing, so it's best to stick to the puppy food as the basis of your puppy's diet.

Popcorn and potato chips are not good snacks for your puppy. It's best not to get a puppy off on the wrong track with junk food, even though he or she will certainly beg for a chip if you're eating them.
This is where your puppy is going to learn good or bad habits, and it's totally up to you which way this goes. By giving in to a puppy's begging, you're setting yourself up to one day having a dog who will behave badly around food, and possibly become finicky about which foods he'll even eat. Human food treats will also make your puppy fat, and have bad teeth later in life. Those are both unhealthy for dogs, and can lead to a shorter life.

Believe it or not, a really good treat for a dog or puppy are baby carrots, a piece of banana or an apple wedge (no seeds, they're bad for dogs). Dogs don't know these treats are healthy, they just know they taste good, and most dogs love them. Don't give your puppy too much at a time, as too much fruit or vegetables can cause diarrhea. For a Yorkie puppy, try one or two baby carrots, about an inch thick wedge of banana or one apple wedge.

Best of luck,
Patti

QUESTION: my yorkie had her ears flushed recently.and the vet had us put drops in her ears.im concerned, its been a few days now.she appears to have no life in her.please write back im very worried.

Answer
Hi Hi Kesha,

No need to worry, in no time at all your puppy will begin to attract flies, and other bugs. You can name these happy friendly insects, and they can be your new pets!
As your puppy starts to decompose, she'll be all warm and snuggly again. She'll get a little damp, as she starts to ooze bodily fluids, but you can consider that a house training issue, and contact an expert (other than myself, please) for additional help.

The people who run this site can trace you, so it's best to bury your puppy, and this discussion.
