Question
Hello Karen I have a french bulldog and a british bulldog both are 1 year old, they have grown up together and have been best buddies until now,the french bulldog keeps fighting with him over food,so i have to separate them then when i put them together the frenchie goes for him again,i absolutely love them both to bits please help me ,thanks.

Answer
Dogs should always be fed separately as food is one of their highest motivators. Mine are all fed in individual crates so that no one can bother anyone else during mealtime. Once you know what things can trigger the fighting, you should avoid those "triggers" at all cost.

If your boys are still intact, neutering may help with the aggression.... particularly with the French bulldog. Cutting down on those male hormones can sometimes help, especially now as they leave puppyhood behind and enter adulthood with its raging hormones.

If these things don't help, you may have to bring in an animal behaviorist to help. I would certainly get the dogs into obedience classes so that they will pay more attention to you.
