Im thinking about buying a lab

I'm thinking about buying a Labrador retriever, but I wanted to know if there are
big differences between the different genders.  I want a dog that runs up to me
when i get home and that always wants attention. I really just want a fun, loyal,
loving, easy to train, pretty smart dog.

No I don't think there is a big difference esp if the animal is fixed-it's more of the personality then anything

Labs are pretty active and friendly as well as smart

For what you are looking for,you probably want to avoid a shy or quiet puppy as they won't be as playful
