Question
We have 2 high strung Jack Russells that we love very much.  They sleep in a kennel and I get up each night at about 1:30-2:00 am to let them out.  The older I get, the harder it is to get back to sleep.  I don't want to sound selfish but its really beginning to affect my days.  What I wonder is, what do other people do?  I know all people do not get up to let the dogs out.  Is it bad for them to be left in their kennels all night?  I feel guilty but loosing 2 hours sleep each night because I let them out is really getting difficult.  Any suggestions?  Is there anything you can say to make me not feel guilty?  I love them so much but am I being selfish??? Thank you so much

Answer
You are going to have to see if they can sleep through the night It will be next to impossible,
but, you might get them some kind of interactive toy, like the kind that you can stuff with peanut butter, and biscuits...that way give it to them when you go to bed, and they will have it all night to keep them occupied!
