dog is acting strange

tonight my dog was on the couch and trying to get off, she began falling over to the right and was holding up one of her back legs, she started to shake and her stomach was hard as a rock, when she was trying to walk it was as if she was drunk and falling over to the right side. her eyes where not normal, her pupils were huge, you could not see the color just the pupil, she was also breathing really hard. this lasted for about 2-3 minutes and then she appears to be fine.
she is also in heat right now, i don't know if this has anything to do with it but you asked for as much detail as possible. she is about 4 or 5 years old and has never had any health problems. she was hit by a car about a week ago but has showed no signs of injury. she is a Jack Russel Terrier. anything you can tell us would be appreciated.

Hi Debbie,  You state that she was hit by a car about a week ago.  Did you take her to the vet?  Do you know if she hit her head when she got hit by the car?  It sounds like she may have an underlying head injury, as the symptoms you are describing could be a seizure of some sort which could be an after effect from the accident.  Her being in heat would not cause anything like this.  I would get her to a vet so they can check to make sure she has no pressure on the brain from an underlying injury.  Hope this helps,
