I have 2 Yorkies that I want to start grooming myself.  I am confused about 1 speed and 2 speed clippers.  The more I read the more I get confused.  Which is better (especially for comfort of dog).  They are not show dogs, I just want them to be comfortable.  Thank you.

Typically I reccomend the 2 speed, because the second speed gives a bit more power to get through thick coats or matted coats. But, if you are just grooming Yorkies, I think a 1 speed will do you just fine. They do have fairly thin hair that a one speed should be able to handle just fine!
