Help please

Hey my mom is a groomer and shes opening up another pet shop and they won't let us open it unless we can say how it is like art I found some ways but if you could explain that would help SO much for our family. You say pet shop but that can mean many things- a groomer who does all breed grooming is a service provider which is not necessarily an art form. Since there is no formal licensing involved in dog grooming it is hard to give a lot of support to what you claim.   What I specialize in - hand plucking- is an art form in that it is done primarily without machines by hand and only taught through apprenticing for the most part. It is a specialized form required for show dogs but not for pets. If you can prove that you are doing the ancient art of hand plucking- which is only required for wire haired breeds you can incorporate that into your claim but there are very few people who do this for pets and even less in salons.
Why should you be required to show such an esoteric point when all the Pet-somethings have franchised grooming businesses. Go to another realtor.
This is America, you can open a store anywhere zoning allows you to. Zoning being the key word here
