When you shave a lab do you do the legs also if so what is the best way to do that?

Do you REALLY need to shave this dog???
A good shedding and and a bath are all nature intended. Some shade, a dog house and a bowl of water if it is an outside dog. I don't quite understand why you need to shave natures protection but if you have too;
always shave in the direction the hair grows never against the grain on this breed and I don't think it is necessary to shave the legs but at least blend it into the tops. try using a #7 blade
at least it won't look so bald.
