Springer Spaniel Dry Skin

I have a 13 week old field bred- English Springer Spaniel. Typical of a Springer he loves mud and going swimming in ponds. So I have had to give him a couple of baths. Recently I noticed that he had skin flakes on his fur. As far as I can tell it looks like dry skin. So I was wondering what I should use or do to help his skin get better.

I would just rinse the mud off of him rather than give him a full bath, most shampoos will dry his skin out. If the problem persists, then try a moisterizing shampoo like Nova Pearls, which is carried by most pet/feed stores.
Don't over do the bathing, he NEEDS those natural oils in his coat!
