cornmeal in dog treats

can you please tell me if cornmeal is a suitable ingredient in a dog treat and if it is not can you recommend an alternate ingredient to substitute for it.  Do you have a good recipe for a puppy dog treat?

Unless your dog has an allergy to corn, and although it is not an ideal ingredient for dogs, it won't do any harm to give treats with some cornmeal in them.

For treats, you can simply dehydrate pieces of meat for your dog.  Very healthy and your dog will love it.
