Question
Hi Marie, I adopted a dog from the Humane Society. He is 4 years old, GreatDane/Mixed not sure what the other half is, but I think it is Ridgeback. He is a meduim size and weight is 75 lbs.
I had him for 3 marvelous weeks. He was on the skinny side, now he is plumping up nicely. But I have seen him eating grass the past week. Is there somthing messing in his diet? Or is it a qurik some dogs like to eat grass? Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi - that was so nice of you to adopt this big kid!
Sometimes it does mean that they are missing something in the diet... can also mean nothing at all.
How about we add some supplements anyway: It is good for him to have x-tra because the supplements in dog food are Weakend by the heating process.

Add 1 Ester C ( 500 mg) to his diet each day - just buy the kind for humans and hide it in some cheese.

Next 1 NuVET wafer will sure help his immune system and digestion, too.
NuVET is not sold in stores/ thru holisitic vets and here:

Also, add a little Salmon oil - 1 tablespoon per day of pure salmon oil...very helpful

Keep me posted on his progress!
Best wishes.
