Growth rate of our golden retriever puppy;

Question
Hi, our golden retriever is now 3 1/2 months old and weighs about 8-9 kilos. However his appearance is not the same as compared to other 3-4 months old retriever puppies. He seems to be smaller in size than he should be although he gets his proper diet (bfast, lunch, dinner). We're feeding him rice, meat, milk and a mixture of puppy and adult dog cereal for his meals.
Should we be feeding him something else as he doesn't seem to grow in size?

Answer
Hello Madhu, I know you are limited to options in your country.  Can you increase your pup to 4 feedings per day rather than the 3 feedings?
Also, can you buy cottage cheese at your local grocery store?  If so, give him 1/4 cup per day of 2% or low fat cottage cheese.
Also, I would not mix the adult cereal, just use the one made for pups.

Next time you see the vet, bring up your concerns.

Also, see if you can find a good puppy vitamin -

BEST wishes
