I think my shit zu eats too fast! : golf balls to slow down your shih tzu-

Question
My shit zu eats his food in less than a minute. I was giving him two bowls of
food a day but he started getting bigger so i slowed it down again. Currently
he weighs about 14 lbs and he is 18 mos. Now he gets one bowl but he eats
so fast and then he starts gagging or choking on his food. I have him take a
minute or two and sit while he is eating his food but if i didn't regulate him
he would eat it all in less than 45 seconds. And sometimes i hear his stomach
growling or making this wierd squeaking noise? What should I do?

Ok Nikki, How about your try this method:
Give him 2 feedings per day - 1/2 cup at each feeding-
``change your food over to one of the following :  
( Found at most pet stores)
Wellness Formula ( Ocean flavor ) CORE-
Or Innova EVO ( small bites)
AGAIN : offer 1/2 cup 2 x per day...
ADD some Canned ( no added salt - green beans ) 1/4 cup - at each meal....

YOU can place the food in a large flat dish and add 3 golf balls...
**the Dog needs to eat around the large golf balls.
MAKE sure golf balls are big enough...
Some People use large rocks to have the dog eat around.  SLOWS them down .
