training great dane/boxer 8 mo old puppy

We are considering adopting an 8 month old neutered great dane/boxer mix.  How easy are they to train?

Every dog is easy to train as long as you take the initiative and begin training right away. Boxer's are a high energy dog and some Dane's can be as well. Like any dog,whether purebred or not.
