Question
I have a 7 mont old golden and she is full of energy. Any time I have guest over she will run up to them and jump/scratch them, even if they turn away and tell her know she will just keep on wagging her body and tail and continue to do it. She's house trained and she knows how to sit, lay down, shake, roll over, up, and fetch when we're alone but once someone new comes in the picture, she doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm there... sometimes I get so loud I don't know what to do. Its worse when we're on walks because she'll literally drag me and jump and just yank until she gets her way or we are far enough from the person or dog. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Answer
First I must tell you Jenny, YOU HAVE TO CORRECT THIS NOW! If you wait until he grows, you will regret it. Anyway, try using a Gentle Leader. Every time someone comes, make him sit. Then the person pets him. If he gets up the person backs away. Tell him to sit again then the person needs to praise and pet. Eventually be will get the point. Hope this helps.
