Question
Sir,
I have a golden retriever of 3 months(female) & want to know that-- what should be the weight & height?

Answer
Dogs vary so much within a breed, nobody can give a good answer to that question.  Check http://jn.nutrition.org/cgi/content/full/134/8/2027S  Golden Retrievers follow about the same growth curve and may average the same 10 kg as Labs and be about 25 cm at the shoulder at 13 weeks.  See the solid line near the middle of the graph.  However, individual dogs may be far different from the average.  The females average being smaller than the males.  Don't be concerned if your puppy is different from the average.  The averages may include many over fed dogs.

Feeding makes a big difference in both growth rate and soundness of joints.  Too much and too rich of a diet results in faster growth, but joint problems.  You should be feeding a puppy chow now. I know Pedigree is available in India, and it may be as good as anything.  Switching to an adult chow for the larger breeds at 4 months, slows growth and helps develop sturdier joints.

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs.
