How much water for golden retriever puppies?

Question
I have an 8 week old golden and live in Florida. I feed him 3 times a day and give
him water at that time. How much additional water should I be offering him? Do
I just keep a bowl available at all times?? I am trying to housebreak him and I
am using a crate.

Answer
Hi Leslie-  if it is very hot in your home, he needs water down at all times.  Now, if you are air conditioned and comfortable, you can offer water every 2 hours when awake.....

Try not to give too much water after 8 pm.... ( if you are in a hot house, you must give water at all times)

Also, please get your baby onto NuVET Plus - now .... the best puppy vitamin in the USA. --- this is a powder you mix into his food 1 x per day.  This will cost you a little less than .50 cents per day and he will love the taste.

What food are you feeding???  I hope it is a good holistic food like Innova, Wellness Formula, or Solid Gold - all found at a pet store...
Excellent quality for your baby!

BEST wishes on your new addition!
