How much excercise should a golden get?

Hi, I am planning to get a Golden Retriever soon. About how much excercise should a Golden get? I was planning on taking it for a longer walk in my neighborhood two times a day, and some fetches and obedience lessons in the middle. Does that sound good?

It should be.  Some dogs are just higher energy than others, and I don't think it is limited to certain breeds.  Some dogs may need the 3 hour walks Cesar Milan and others prescribe when they don't have a better answer.  The fetch is good.  Like people, dogs need at least some vigorous exercise that ups the heart rate.  

A Golden is a great choice.
