Question
hi, i have a goldendoodle about 2 years old. he lives inside, and is very clean. he is constantly scratching and biting  at all parts of his body. we groom him about once a month. we've tried a few things (even cortizone, but he can't control his blater) to help the problem but nothing seems to work. any advise would be helpfull. thanks, a j

Answer
Does your vet have any ideas?  Perhaps a second vet.  Unfortunately even those that pride themselves on being a reputable breeder use dogs with food sensitivities as breeding stock.  Whoever you got the dog from might be able to suggest a chow that would work.  Otherwise, you just have to try some at random.

I view breeding dogs with food sensitivities and allergies as unnecessary and inexcusable.  I certainly don't see anmy of it inthe service dog programs I am a part of.
