large dog with pink nose

Question
I have a 3 and half year old Golden Retriever. She about 125 pounds. We had her thyroid checked and all is well.  I am not able to exercise her but she eats only 21/2 cups of food "for overweight dogs" no people food. my husband tells me to cut back on the food but, I think it as little as possible for such a BIG dog. She very tall and long. She was 15 pounds at 8 weeks.  The other thing her nose is not black and has not been since a year old.  What is the a reason for the nose color?

Few Goldens should weigh 125 pounds.  Evaluate her using this link, http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx and cut back even more if she is too heavy.  Also check to make sure no other family members are slipping her food or even a well meaning neighbor.  

Some dogs have the pink noses.  Some it depends on how much sun they get.
