Question
hi trish, i really hope you can help me.pebbles is 7 weeks old. i bought her at 6 weeks. i bought her at the beginning of my 10 day vacation. now i have to go back to work. i live alone and can't really get another puppy right now. i am afraid to leave her alone. i feel that it will be bad for her. my whole place is carpeted so i can't block off a room, all i can do is crate her. i feel like it is wrong because i work 8 hours a day and i don't have anyone who can let her out for me. i won't be able to consentrate at work because i will be worrying about her and if i have done the right thing.can you tell me what i should do so i can go back to work not feeling like i have done something wrong?i also have been letting her bite me while we are playing now thats all she wants to do is bite me and everyone the first thing she wakes up. how can i get her to stop?i say no but she doesn't listen. i don't want to yell at her so what can i do? thank you so much for taking the time out to read this.

Answer
It is not a good idea to lock up a 7 week old puppy for any length of time-they are too young to hold their bowel and bladder for more than a few hours and they need to have food & water offered to them freely so that they do not get low blood suger and die.  You should find someone to watch your puppy for you or just block off a part of your home for this puppy to be out of the kennel and maybe lay down a 5X5 section of linolium to protect your carpet.
Best of luck!
