AnswerIt means he is probably a lighter color like a chocolate? The eye color is not rare but not common unless it is a lighter color coat, then the eyes can be hazel/green or in the case of dapple, blue too. AKC standards say the darker the eye color the better so he will not make a good show dog since he does not fit dachshund standards. He sounds very nice. Give him lots of love and have him neutered so he can live a long and happy life!
