WHAT CAN I DO.?

Answer
J Romeo,

It is not uncommon for females in season to show badly.  You need to hope that, when you take her to a show, she is not in season.

There are some things that you might try to modify her beahvior at the shows.  Some people have had luck with Vitamin B1 (give about 100 mg twice a day starting wednesday evening) on the saturday of the show give it 3 times (morning, noon, night) and on sunday morning and noon.

Sometimes this mellows them out enough so they behave O.K.

I am loath to suggest anything like rescue remedy or "flowers" or any of these, so called, herbal behavior modifies.  The problem is that if a cat senses it is being given something that messes with its head, the behavior can get really ugly.  In most associations, drugging is against show rules and I do not recommend drugging the cat (including herbals).  Show cat temperament does have a genetic component and cats can be bred for good show temperament as with any other trait.

Good luck and best regards... Norm.
