One month old Kitten

Question
The one month old, aka McFatty
The one month old, aka
I have tried before to take care of my cat's kittens. Her first litter we could not help much, since they died within a week. her second litter lived to be a month before three died. We have one kitten left, and she is a little over a month. She has been sick and it looks as if she is having mini seizures. Those have stopped since we started giving her water from an eyedropper. She will not feed from Mommy anymore, but Mommy is still trying. This morning her nose was completely dry, so me and my boyfriend have been giving her water every hour until she doesn't drink anymore, and a tiny finger tip full of wet kitten food. She seems to be doing better, looking around, and her reflexes are alright; But she is still lethargic and always sleeping. Her nose is cold now (having been keeping the air off, even if its uncomfortable for us, and in the routine of watering and feeding), and I was wondering if there is anything we are missing to tend to her growing up and being a beautiful black and silver Cat. :)

Answer
Alexya,

I'm wondering if mommy cat might have mastitis which would certainly explain why her baby doesn't want to nurse from her. Another concern that I have is the potential that the kitten may have medical issues.... I really think it would be in the best interests to have both mommy and kitten evaluated as refusing to nurse and potential seizure activity are worrying signs. If you have any further questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me again at any time - I'm more than happy to help in any way that I can.

Kind regards,

Ali
