QuestionI have a male cat who just started urinating a thick bloody discharge. The urine resembles glue in its consistency. Could this be a uti or something worse. Please help. Thank you.
AnswerUsually bloody urine is not thick. The two things that come to mind are stones or crystals. Both could lacerate the lining of the bladder and urethra and cause bleeding, which could account for the discharge. I would definitely get him to the vet ASAP. I hope he gets better.
