Pale colored feces

Question
I just recently switched my cat's food to another brand and noticed that her past 3 or 4 stools have been pale peach colored. I was wondering if it is due to the transition into different dry food. I also read that you should give wet food as well as dry food. I normally just keep dry food out all day long and give her wet food periodically (1 or 2 times/wk). I was also wondering if the pale colored stool had any connection to the loss of fur around her nose. She is VERY hyper and never stops. She is just about 1 yr. old and gets into EVERYTHING. I understand you are not a vet, and unfortunatley I dont have the money to have her her liver biopsied, but I think that might be the main problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer
Did all these physical and behavioral problems (and hyper activity) start AFTER the change in food? Or was it just the stool color?
If all these changes took place after the change in food, you could try putting her back on the regular diet and see if all goes back to normal. Some cats are allergic to
certain things. Your routine of wet vs dry food is fine.

If you suspect that it is her liver..I think the vet would
do blood work like a CBC (complete blood count) and liver profile blood test first ((before a biopsy to see what is going on..and maybe if its something like she needs to be on a medication, a biopsy wouldn't be needed)) So if you suspect that its that..I wouldn't delay
taking her for an appointment.

As an aside, most caring vets will work out a payment plan with you..and you can also look at Care Credit

hope this helps
