how many times do i need to shampoo my cat?

I wouldn't do it too often, since over bathing can cause dry skin.  As to how often, that is going to depend on you and your cat, and why you are bathing her.  If you are bathing her because she can't clean herself properly then you will need to do it any time she gets dirty.  For a normal healthy cat though, you shouldn't ever really need to do it as cats tend to be very fastidious, but if you want to, I don't usually recommend doing it more than once every 2-4 weeks.
